Mortar City was great to work with for my chimney repair, tuckpointing, and sidewalk replacement. They did an excellent job, and came in at a very reasonable price. Their sales team came out twice because of a storm the first time, their workers came a week early to complete the job, and when it ran long, finished the job on the 4th of July so that I wouldn't have equipment all over my front lawn for the entire weekend.

On top of it, during the work they found an extra cracked brick- and marked it for repair. After completing the work we realized they forgot to replace it. I didn't want to say anything because it was not part of the work I hired them to do originally. Two weeks later, after they had been paid and everything, they came back and replaced 2 cracked bricks and new tuckpointing in that area. When I emailed to thank them for going above and beyond they said - "we knew it had to be done, and that is just how we do things :) " . I was stunned, impressed, and will be calling them out when it's time to re-pour my driveway and patio.

I had a good experience with the quote process. Scott had a drone to inspect the Chimney brick deterioration along with the cap being split which showed the rook cause of the brick/water damage. They coordinated a crew that came out the next day to begin. Diligent workers, respected my yard, and talked me through what they hoped to accomplish through the day. Isolated bricks replaced along with the top several rows redone, the cap and vent replaced. Work looked very good to my eye. They did a good job matching the bricks and left the yard very clean. Mortar City did an excellent job with tuckpointing, repair and replacement of bricks around the foundation and chimney, and rebuilding the pavers around the front porch. Brick work is dusty, dirty, and messy and they did a great job of cleaning up afterward. The project managers stopped by several times to be sure everything was being done right, and the project was completed within a couple weeks of signing the contract. Would recommend MCM.

We had an old chimney with deteriorating brick causing rain leaks into our attic and closet. They came out very quickly to provide a rebuild quote and scheduled our appointment. Crew showed up on time and completed demolition and rebuild in 4 1/2 hours. Great result and cleanup (you couldn’t tell they were here). I recommend them.

Mortar City replaced brick on part of the front of our house that was moving because of broken footing. We were worried as this is the front of our home and bricks are 55 years old. The match is very close that unless we tell people, they can't tell. Mortar City also relaid a paver brick walk. The work was done on time, the crews were great workers, and everything was cleaned up.

Very professional. Referral to this service came from a different trade professional who I respected. Prompt appointment for evaluation and estimate. Moved up the work date to accommodate our needs. Looked at the entire fireplace and chimney and pointed out a more serious problem than what I knew about. It didn't feel like an upsell. Work crew was quick, neat, and pleasant. Very considerate of our property. I would definitely use them again if I had more needs.

This group worked on my 2 houses that needed chimney repair at one, and removal at another. I also added cement work at one of the houses as the stair was not attached to the porch. This morphed into replacing some broken sidewalk, so it was a bigger job. They did this in November 2023. It was at the end of cement pouring season, and when it looked like the weather was going to go against us, they pivoted into the cement work. 2 of the workers were there until 9 pm, making sure that the cement was poured and levelled as they wanted it. The chimney removal went smoothly, they really cleaned up the property well. On the other house, they fixed the chimney and added a bird cage to keep animals from getting in, I had a squirrel in the house during the summer, and did not want that experience again. I appreciate all they did, the effort they put in, the communication. The work looks great.

I literally drove by a smoothie king and saw their truck and called them because I had pavers popping all over my paver patio and needed to have my patio poly sanded and repaired. Not only did they get to me within the week, but their team was amazing, helpful and explained to me every step that they were doing. Had chimney crown rebuilt, they were very responsive with rescheduling when the weather wasnt cooperating for the day they planned coming out. They did a great job with the rebuild and cleanup of the worksite and the new chimney crown looks great!

After another contractor (lutz masonry) ruined my chimney, I needed help in a bad way. I called Mortar city and was able to get some questions answered, they spent 20 some-odd minutes calming me down on the phone. So pleased with our new pavers! Our old stairs were crumbled cement covered in tile. The tile popped off over the winter and it looked horrible. The new stairs/pavers by Mortar City look gorgeous!
