Mortar City was great to work with for my chimney repair, tuckpointing, and sidewalk replacement. They did an excellent job, and came in at a very reasonable price. Their sales team came out twice because of a storm the first time, their workers came a week early to complete the job, and when it ran long, finished the job on the 4th of July so that I wouldn't have equipment all over my front lawn for the entire weekend.

On top of it, during the work they found an extra cracked brick- and marked it for repair. After completing the work we realized they forgot to replace it. I didn't want to say anything because it was not part of the work I hired them to do originally. Two weeks later, after they had been paid and everything, they came back and replaced 2 cracked bricks and new tuckpointing in that area. When I emailed to thank them for going above and beyond they said - "we knew it had to be done, and that is just how we do things :) " . I was stunned, impressed, and will be calling them out when it's time to re-pour my driveway and patio.

This group worked on my 2 houses that needed chimney repair at one, and removal at another. I also added cement work at one of the houses as the stair was not attached to the porch. This morphed into replacing some broken sidewalk, so it was a bigger job. They did this in November 2023. It was at the end of cement pouring season, and when it looked like the weather was going to go against us, they pivoted into the cement work. 2 of the workers were there until 9 pm, making sure that the cement was poured and levelled as they wanted it. The chimney removal went smoothly, they really cleaned up the property well. On the other house, they fixed the chimney and added a bird cage to keep animals from getting in, I had a squirrel in the house during the summer, and did not want that experience again. I appreciate all they did, the effort they put in, the communication. The work looks great.

I literally drove by a smoothie king and saw their truck and called them because I had pavers popping all over my paver patio and needed to have my patio poly sanded and repaired. Not only did they get to me within the week, but their team was amazing, helpful and explained to me every step that they were doing. Mortar City Masonry was 1 of 3 companies I contacted for an estimate to replace my back porch stairs and tuck pointing on the porch. Scott came and assessed the job & provided an estimate. He had a vision for the porch, the stairs & the surrounding cracked concrete. His recommendations sealed the deal, they were far more appealing than any of the other proposals.

Once I signed the contract the work was slated to begin in 3-4 weeks. The back porch and stairs were completed the following week. The concrete was scheduled later than projected but, to my surprise the tear out & pour were completed in one day. I had a few concerns regarding the concrete job after I was able to fully access the area. However, I was impressed with how diligently my concerns were addressed. MCM worked tirelessly to resolve any issues and make sure I was thoroughly pleased with the finished job.

After another contractor (lutz masonry) ruined my chimney, I needed help in a bad way. I called Mortar city and was able to get some questions answered, they spent 20 some-odd minutes calming me down on the phone. Scott came out and was able to explain what work needed to be done to fix the last contractors terrible work, and was able to get me a quote we were both happy about. Jeff and his crew came out a week later and got the job done, and I couldn't be happier. The work was done in a timely fashion, the workmanship appears to be high quality the crew was professional, and they cleaned up well after they were done. Overall I am happy with mortar city and would recommend them to friends and family.

My chimney is completely restored and looks better than new. The brick color and the limestone detail perfectly complement the front elevation of my home. I contacted this company and spoke to the owner, Mike. I had a cement patio poured by another company but was not happy with the results at all! I had a lot of questions and worries that I would be paying more money for no better results. mike was patient with me, answering all of my questions and put me at ease. The results were phenomenal!! He not only fixed the imperfections, he suggested I add a paver border. It REALLY set it off and made it look so much better. I wish I would have hired Mortar City Masonry from the beginning!
